Support AzAEYC Arizona Gives Day 2020 on April 7, 2020
The Arizona Association for the Education of Young Children (AzAEYC) joins more than 700 nonprofit organizations expected to participate in Arizona Gives Day, an online fundraising initiative on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
Presented by FirstBank, Arizona Gives Day will bring together Arizonans from across the state to raise awareness and financial support for nonprofit organizations statewide.
Arizonans are encouraged to help make a difference by investing in the nonprofit of their choice.
Early childhood educators are essential to our communities. They build the brains of young learners while their families get to work or school and contribute to the economy.
AzAEYC directly supports essential childcare providers in Arizona
As an Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofit, AzAEYC directly supports these essential childcare providers and elevates the early childhood profession, said Dr. Eric Bucher, AzAEYC’s Executive Director. With the impact of the coronavirus, the need is especially urgent at this time.
“Because of COVID-19, many childcare providers have had to shut their doors. Some are still on the frontlines caring for children of first responders and medical staff.”
AzAEYC provides resources and support through its AZToolkit program, an online early childhood shared services hub. AZToolkit helps childcare providers access and integrate business and financial tools to survive during these challenging times – and emerge afterwards ready to serve families as they get back to work.
Funds raised during AzAEYC Arizona Gives 2020 will help provide complimentary AZToolkit subscriptions to childcare providers as well as boosting scholarship funds for the Rhian Evans Allvin and Joshua J. Allen Scholarship.
This scholarship awards $1,000 to one student attending an accredited Arizona public university or college and majoring in early childhood education .
Arizona Gives Day 2020 is April 7
Arizona Gives Day early giving began on March 17 and will continue through Arizona Gives Day, April 7. Participating organizations will have the chance to win a portion of a $184,500 prize pool including most dollars raised and power hours.
“Since the inaugural event in 2013, Arizona Gives Day has raised more than $17 million for Arizona nonprofits. Arizonans continue to show their commitment and support to nonprofits through their giving. We are excited for the 2020 Arizona Gives Day and to further showcase the important work our nonprofits are doing in our communities,” said Jennifer Purcell, Vice President of Community Engagement of the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits.
