Sharpen your advocacy skills and help advance an equitable, well-supported, well-compensated early care and education (ECE) workforce. Participants will learn from policy leaders and community experts, explore local/state resources, and refine their messaging to be an informed and effective advocate for children, families, and the ECE profession.

This professional development event was funded by a grant from Voices for Healthy Kids, an initiative of the American Heart Association with support from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
This event is a collaboration between Arizona Association for the Education of Young Children, Arizona Early Childhood Education Association, Arizona Head Start Association, Children’s Action Alliance, Child Care Resource & Referral – Arizona, Southern Arizona Association for the Education of Young Children, and Arizona Early Childhood Alliance.

A certificate of professional development for 2.0 hours is available after completing a brief post-session survey. A link to the PDF copy of the certificate is on the survey completion page. If you’d also like to be marked as “Attended” in the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry, include your Registry ID number in your survey response. We will mark participants as “Attended” within 10 business days of completing the survey.

- Town Hall Final Report – During the virtual 5th Annual Arizona Early Childhood Public Policy Forum on February 11, 2023, 60 early childhood educators, parents, and community champions participated in an Arizona Town Hall session focused on Advancing Equity for the Child Care Workforce. This report reflects the collective voices of the participants and their shared consensus around equitable access to child care and a well-supported, well-compensated early care and education profession.
