Kara Begaye comes from a family of educators and now works as a preschool educator at Dilcon Community School on the Navajo Nation – the same school she and her siblings attended.
In this video, Kara shares her family’s history in education, describes her experience as an early childhood education student and in the early education program at Dilcon, and gives advice for new and seasoned early care and education providers.
This video interview was made possible thanks to a grant from Valley of the Sun United Way. AzAEYC’s Stories from the Field initiative elevates the voices and lived experiences of Arizona’s early childhood educators to highlight the importance of early care and education for children, families, and our communities.
