Tinkering with STEM: Connections – Linking Literacy with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics!
Valley Chapter of AzAEYC has teamed up with Rio Salado College and the INSPIRE Early Childhood Leadership Series to present this opportunity.
When children tinker they learn the use of materials and the power of tools. Taking a refreshing turn in STEM, we follow the lead of author Cate Heroman, Making & Tinkering with STEM: Solving Design Challenges with Young Children (NAEYC, 2017).
Classrooms that support creativity allow for experimentation, providing playful time with materials and tools.
Join us as for this powerful, hands-on collaboration as we re-think curriculum design and strategies, tapping into children’s natural ability to innovate. Designed for PreK-Grade 3 educators.
